About

about me

why whole health?

I am a Registered Dietitian, National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, and a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher. With 10 years of experience as a dietitian, I have helped Mississippians improve their health. I have also worked in oncology supporting patients and families of loved ones undergoing cancer treatment.

I live with Ulcerative Colitis, so food has always had to be the main focus 24/7. Yoga has helped me manage symptoms and be more mindful of thoughts, emotions and feelings towards my body. I felt better knowing there was something to help manage symptoms besides just medicine. That is when I decided to go through a yoga teacher training knowing I was ready to share it with the world. I completed my training in 2018.

It is a daily practice and I have never felt healthier and more confident than I do now. Through teaching yoga, I have discovered the eating disorder community and how practicing yoga can help with mental health- trauma, generalized anxiety, depression and more. This need along with my experience and knowledge has led me to open the door to counseling for eating disorders, which are just beautiful people struggling to love themselves exactly as they are.
